Shaanxi Automobile Raises 2027 Export Target, Accelerates Shift to 6000 Series

Shaanxi Automobile announced a higher export target for 2027 at its Global Partners Conference, held in Xi’an on October 15–16, 2026. Tian Chao, general manager of the company’s import and export business, outlined the plan in a global market report, alongside an accelerated transition from the 3000 series to the 6000 series in its overseas heavy truck lineup.

Heavy trucks remain the core of the company’s overseas business. The product transition is intended to cover the full range of operating applications, with the 6000 series set to become its principal overseas product range. More than 10,000 trucks from the series are already operating in over 40 countries.

The announcement links a higher export ambition with a change in the products expected to support it. The existing overseas presence gives the 6000 series an operating base as the transition advances. However, the number of vehicles in service does not by itself establish how quickly the series will gain a larger share of exports or how demand will develop across different applications.

For overseas partners, the transition could first affect model selection, sales planning and after-sales preparation. As the 6000 series takes a larger role, distributors and service providers may need to align parts availability and technical support with the changing product mix. The extent of those adjustments will depend on the pace of the transition in each market.

The key developments to watch are the scale of the revised export target, the 6000 series’ contribution to overseas sales and the pace at which it covers additional applications. These will help show whether the product transition is supporting the higher export ambition. Raising the target signals the company’s intentions; actual export performance will determine the outcome.
